An experienced Product
Manager is required for a leading manufacturer of products specifically
designed to meet the needs of modern living, complete with a full range of
accessories, built in appliances, worktops, taps and sinks. With a turnover in
excess of £750m they not only manufacture and distribute they also supply a
number of retail trade outlets throughout the
Working within the Joinery Division alongside Commercial/Purchasing Managers you will be responsible for managing and leading the development of new products within the international supply chain. The role will be project based and include;
- Creating a comprehensive product strategy and plan
with full trade, commercial and concept engagement to feed a continual
pipeline of joinery and hardware products.
- Indentifying commercial product opportunities
making sound business cases and recommendations for introduction to senior
management.
- Engage with various internal departments
specifically trade, marketing and purchasing and concept design regarding
new products.
- Review supplier technology, capability and
availability of new products ensuring they meet bullet proof quality
standards.
- Regular travel to visit and maintain supplier
relationships throughout the globe.
- Managing the on time delivery of all new
products coordinating closely with purchasing, marketing, trade,
commercial and design teams.
- Manage and develop a Product Co-ordinator to
assist with product plans and reports on progress.
- Provide regular input at senior management/board level.
To be successful you will be an experienced Product Manager and effective communicator at all levels. With prior experience within a large organisation you will be used to developing strategic plans to deliver new products from an international supply base. Commercial astute with sound project management and leadership skills you will enjoy travel, variety and want to work within a challenging and dynamic environment.
