The Opportunity: IT Project Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced IT Project Manager to come in and take charge of Agendas new software platform project which will help increase their customer capability as well as create more efficiency and a more attractive user interface too. The position will be focused on the security screening side of the business and more specifically the web-based platform their clients use for this service. This role will allow for the successful IT Project Manager to really make a difference to the business with complete autonomy to manage and execute the project. This will also involve managing internal and external stakeholders with examples such as their out sourced development team and their 3rd party partners.

The successful candidate will have experience of software development and delivery as well as a thorough grounding in Project Management techniques from idea inception, planning, budget control, documentation and managing risk through to product launch. Given how critical this Project is to the wider business in meeting its mid-term strategy, this role offers a package on a Fixed Term Contract basis commensurate with your experience and a completion bonus upon successful delivery of the Project.

 

This role may also be extended to a full-time position for the right individual.

Experience Required

The successful candidate should have a track record of delivering successful projects, experienced in working with development teams, have a friendly and positive approach and have experience in an autonomous Project Managers position. This role will also involve negotiation and external stakeholder management so the ability to influence and negotiate is vital, quickly building relationships with the aim of creating a great team environment.

It would be advantageous if the successful Project Manager has Project Management qualifications in PRINCE 2 and has worked in an agile environment but this isn’t essential, with candidates qualified by experience being considered.
