The IT team support 3000 student users and 500 staff across their two sites, based just outside the town of Beverley, East Yorkshire and the new £24.5 million Riseholme College Showground Campus.

The last 24 months has seen an investment of £1 Million in the IT infrastructure at the college and they have a 5 year plan in place to invest further and continuously develop the IT function.

The Opportunity: 2nd Line Infrastructure Analyst

Salary: Up to £30,000 DOE + Benefits, including 24% Employer Pension Contribution

With further projects in the pipeline and a desire to hit their strategic goals, the college is increasing the size of the team which currently has 8 people, consisting of a support team, an infrastructure and systems team both lead by the IT Director, Damien Blackburn.

We are supporting Bishop Burton College in the recruitment of an 2nd Line Infrastructure Analyst.

Working closely with the IT Operations and Infrastructure Manager you will be primarily focusing on the colleges physical and virtual servers, ensuring they are maintained and developed as well as completing virtual server configurations and builds.

The successful candidate

This is a role in an experienced team with good development opportunities and in an organisation continually investing in the latest technology.  You will have hands on experience of taking a specification and building a virtual server yourself, Microsoft 365 and networking experience would be advantageous as well as a problem solving, inquisitive nature.
