In 2015 Groupe Atlantic acquired Hull based Ideal Heating, recognising the quality of their products and their place not only in the UK market but also in the European market.  Since then, there has been significant investment in the Hull site to enable an increase in production capacity; they have expanded the R&D facilities and modernised and improved manufacturing techniques.

The Opportunity: Project Manager (French Speaking)

The role is part of the team responsible for the delivery of all new products to the business, and for the continuous improvement of products, processes and people. Activities are against the requirements of the New Product Introduction (NPI) and the Continuous Improvement (CIP) processes, the company operating procedures, and European and UK regulatory standards. The successful candidate is required to produce robust business cases and deliver projects to time, to specification and to cost, without compromising on quality. The successful job holder will be expected to liaise with both internal and external customers in a professional and effective manner.


The Project Manager will also be responsible for:

  • Leading project teams, planning and delivering in adherence with NPI and Company processes
  • Creating and monitoring budgets, business cases, risk registers, timeline and resource plans whilst ensuring efficient and effective delivery
  • Effectively manage all risks, escalating with possible solutions and mitigation options
  • Contributing and adhering to continuous improvement, ensuring ongoing review and development of NPI and business processes
  • Driving project teams to ensure that all team members fully understand their roles and responsibilities, developing and maintaining constructive relationships with business managers and colleagues
  • Identifing and challenging the critical path activities, creating scenarios to ensure the best possible outcome is achieved by the business
  • Managing key internal and external customer requirements / needs

To be successful in the role of Project Manager you will have:

  • Is it essential to be fluent speaking in French/ Business French
  • Degree in either Engineering, Science or French Language
  • Minimum of least two years' experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience of Six Sigma, SAP and is desirable
  • Excellent communication skills: both written and verbal
  • Highly intelligent with the capability to digest information rapidly
  • An understanding of basic project management disciplines including the importance of following the critical path
  • Skilled problem solver with the ability to take the wider view
  • Able to perform well whilst working under pressure and to strict deadlines
  • Outgoing and confident personality with the skills to build and maintain positive working relationships quickly
  • The proven capability to run meetings and manage cross functional teams effectively and efficiently
  • Logically minded with the ability to analyse and evaluate information quickly and accurately
