Gearing up for growth
In 2014 Groupe Atlantic acquired Hull based Ideal Boilers, recognising the quality of their products and their place not only in the UK market but also in the European market. Since then, there has been significant investment in the Hull site to enable an increase in production capacity; they have expanded the R&D facilities and modernised and improved manufacturing techniques.
The group has a strong manufacturing culture as well as a mind-set that focuses strategy on people. With an eye towards the future and backed by their experience, they have been able to evolve and grow by constantly expanding their skills.
Today, Groupe Atlantic is made up of twelve strategic and complementary brands that create thermal comfort solutions in four areas: Heating, Hot water, Air conditioning & Ventilation. Headquartered in Hull, Groupe Atlantic’s UK business includes leading UK brands such as Ideal Boilers, Ideal Commercial, Keston and Hamworthy.
Groupe Atlantic have a big focus on developing their tech function which includes a number of exciting projects within software/web development and IOT for the upcoming year.
Their development team has shown excellent growth, adding several developers to their team over the last couple of years as well as providing success stories such as James Lewis progressing from Software Developer through to Development Team Lead at Groupe Atlantic.
