Product Manager required to launch new electric market

Groupe Atlantic are a French, family-owned international organisation employing 8,000 people and boasting a turnover in excess of €2bn. They specialise in providing heating and ventilation products for both domestic and commercial markets.

In 2015 Groupe Atlantic acquired Hull based Ideal Heating, recognising the quality of their products and their place not only in the UK market but also in the European market. The UK & ROI Division has several market leading brands including the household name Ideal Heating who manufacture in excess of 400,000 boilers per year. With recent years seeing Ideal winning two prestigious Queens awards for international trade, as well as innovation. The UK & ROI division prides itself on being market leaders with product development being at the heart of what they do.

The Electric division is a new business area for the UK building on the expertise of the group who manufacture a range of electric products.

After a very successful year with thier Panel Heater product in the UK market and increasing their UK market share, Group Atlantic has decided to continue investing in electric and as such have created a new division for the UK specialising in the manufacturing and delivery of electric products such as panel heaters, point of use water heaters, instantaneous water heaters, electric underfloor and electric boilers.  The target customer market will be varied depending on products with examples such as new house or flat developments, individual consumers, local authority projects etc.

This is an exciting time to join Groupe Atlantic as they continue to diversify their product ranges and scale up their electric division.

The Opportunity: Electrical Product Manager

Due to the expansion and scaling up in terms of developing the product range for the UK market Groupe Atlantic are now seeking a Product Manager with knowledge of developing domestic or commercial electric products. 

This exciting newly created role will require an experienced, commercially astute individual with the ability to lead and manage the development of products whilst driving revenue. The successful candidate will need to be technically minded enough to understand regulations and what product opportunities are viable in the UK Market. 

This role would be ideally suited to individuals who have electrical product knowledge within a manufacturing or wholesale/retail environment.

The role has the option to be predominantly home working with an expectation of spending time as required at the UK HQ in Hull, East Yorkshire.
