From humble beginnings of milk collections from local firms as well as fertilizer deliveries from local factories, the business has grown to being East Yorkshire's premier Haulage and Transport business.

Holts has two sides to the business, Palletforce which Holts is one of the founding members of, is a network of over 100 members. Palletforce specialises in pallet distribution utilising the large distribution network ensuring timely delivery of critical consignments. As well as general transport which Holts have built a timely, honest and flexible approach cementing solid working relationships with the likes of Wren Kitchens, Omya and Plant Raisers.

The Opportunity: Transport Manager

Location: Howden

Salary: £40,000

Due to the impending retirement of two of the three directors, Holts is taking the next step in it's journey with Director Stuart Holt taking sole responsibility at the helm.

Two experienced Transport Managers are required to join the General Transport and Palletforce sectors of the business, respectively. This is a chance to join a well-established true industry leader in their field.

Working as part of a wider team the Transport Manager will be required to:

Successfully plan transport of goods, ensuring space is utilised to full potential
Deal with incoming customer enquiries and queries
Price jobs according to agreed rate schedules
Input relevant information onto internal system
Ensure all relevant documentation is present
Manage and liaise with Drivers
