In 2015 Groupe Atlantic acquired Hull based Ideal Heating, recognising the quality of their products and their place not only in the UK market but also in the European market.  Since then, there has been significant investment in the Hull site to enable an increase in production capacity; they have expanded the R&D facilities and modernised and improved manufacturing techniques. The Opportunity: Head of Programme Management

Groupe Atlantic UK, ROI & North America are seeking to appoint a Head of Programme Management to lead their programme management team in the delivery of all new product project & business wide improvement projects, as well as continuous improvement of products and processes. 

The Head of Programme Management will lead a team of 15 project professionals and will be accountable for delivering the NPI 3-year plan ensuring on time, in full, to cost and specification of the whole project portfolio. 

The Head of Programme Management will also be responsible for:

  • Management of the Programme Management team consisting of programme managers, project managers & engineers
  • Liaising with internal and external customers, forming successful relationships to ensure project delivery
  • Continually improvement of the NPI process, ensuring all processes are fit for purpose continually reviewed and alligned to meet objectives and targets
  • Reporting project progress to executive level, esculating when neccessary, and ensuring solutions are sought
  • Management and leadership of Programme plans, budgets and resource ensuring efficient deployment

To be successful in role of Head of Programme Management you will have:

  • Outstanding people management skills, with proven history of managing, developing and recruiting teams
  • A degree in any business, engineering, or science disciplines or signifcant experience in an engineering or PMO environment
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with an ability to network and influence internal and external parties
  • Significant experience in project management of NPI within an engineering, manufacturing or new product development arena
  • a robust outlook with the resilence to overcome problems
  • an ability to communicate effectively across all levels 
  • Exposure of lean methodologies is desirable
