Hull based IT Solutions provider Reality Solutions are seeking a Software Business Development Manager to join their growing team and concentrate on their Sage solutions.

Reality Solutions are very well-established, having recently celebrated their 20th year in business. Over that period, they have built up a base of over 500 businesses, majority of whom are based in the Yorkshire region albeit they do have a presence nationally with a number of clients in London for example. At present, they have a team of 28 employees who pride themselves on an open, honest culture and have a joint aim of providing a premier service to their clients.

Opportunity

Reality Solutions are now looking at expand their team by bringing in a Software Business Development Manager.  

This role will report to the board.  The successful Business Development Manager will be financially well rewarded and will have the opportunity to take on increased responsibility and to progress within in the business. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for identifying new client opportunities 
  • Engaging with lapsed clients 
  • You are responsible for creating an action plan for engaging with both prospective and lapsed clients
  • Focusing on converting opportunities and creating a great customer journey
  • Consistently achieving revenue goals 
  • Assessing the viability of all inbound enquiries and follow up action
  • Managing all new client outbound quotes
  • Following up all quotes – daily/weekly
  • Liaising with the Operations Director and internal Sales Team regarding the pricing requests for Software products
  • Ensuring that pricing structures are continuously looked at and kept up to date 
  • Be responsible for developing a pipeline of potential customers 
  • Working closely with the Business Software Team to ensure that client offerings are achievable and realistic 

Person

The successful candidate will be tenacious, enjoy opening doors and pitching to clients. This role is very much a solutions sales role and will require the successful person to be able to think about what the potential client is trying to achieve for their business, have the ability to have some technical conversations and be able to put together contracts.

This role would ideally suit someone who has worked in a software or ERP sales position previously, selling in a B2B environment, a good track record of bringing in revenue for businesses and wants to work in an SME that is fast paced and may need you to be involved in other areas of the business when required.
