Opportunity: Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer

Emmerson Kitney are proud to be partnering with Shipham Valves on hiring for a Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer due to continued expansion and growth plans.

The successful Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer, will have the following responsibilities:

Create and check manufacturing drawings;
Produce detail part/assembly drawings/models using 2D and 3D CAD packages
Produce and compile necessary design data in line with requirements of national and international standards and PED (Pressure Equipment Directive) where applicable
Create and check BOM’s on ERP with minimal supervision;
Create and check General Arrangement drawings;
Create and check calculation packs and design reports;
Develop and implement preventative actions from NCR’s
Ensure design control is followed and maintained
Review work for self and other team members as appropriate
Support in developing less experienced team members
Communicate with other departments, suppliers and sub-contractors as required to achieve best outcome for business
Act as an ambassador for the engineering department internally and externally
