Where once an engineer in this industry would be hands on with a print press, now in this role our specialist team are troubleshooting network and software issues.

The Install & Service Delivery Team

Nilpeter prides itself on delivering first class installations of their print machinery solutions along with continued long-term support via their Service & Maintenance teams. With 200 engineers worldwide this allows Nilpeter to provider customer support 24/7 with a dedicated technical support hotline managing incoming customer enquiries.

With a UK service division made up of 6 engineers, Nilpeter are looking to add an Electronic/Electrical Field Service Engineer to their multi skilled team. This is an opportunity for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a well-established family owned business.

Working with clients nationwide the successful candidate would:

  • Provide telephone, site engineering technical support and diagnostics on mechanical and electrical components
  • Interrogate of PLC’s and software in order to fault find (Omron, InTouch, Wonderware, B&R)
  • Perform onsite visits and servicing (preventative and reactive breakdown maintenance)
  • Carry out project work – installation and commissioning of new machinery
  • Propose solutions for modification to existing products and to rectify ongoing issues
  • Test new machinery prior to installation within the workshop
  • Liaise with clients at management to board level
  • Travel throughout the UK, Ireland and occasionally Europe and the Middle East

To be successful in the role of Electrical Field Service Engineer you will:

  • Preferably have HNC/HND in a relevant subject area
  • Have robust installation/commissioning experience
  • Have outstanding software and programme troubleshooting skills
  • Work in a high-pressured environment and have the ability to manage your own time
  • Have the willingness to travel with the role
  • Preferably have prior experience in the print industry
  • Have outstanding interpersonal skills
