Office Manager wanted for leading Software House Sauce

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Sauce, a leading UK wide software provider to become their new Office Manager. They work on projects such as Internet of Things, mobile app development and bespoke software solutions. Sauce have only been established for 6 years, but in this time they have seen exponential growth, taking advantage of the C4DI Hub on the stunning Hull Marina which provides start ups with the opportunity to grow their tech business, providing resource such as a relevant like-minded network and fantastic office facilities.

Sauce was established by four individuals, who are still Directors and key influencers in the business with a real aim of creating a friendly working culture where people love what they do and enjoy coming to work every day. They work on large scale bespoke projects with some fantastic businesses like Ideal Heating, Coyle Health and Rix Group to name a few.

Matt Gibson Sauce’s Co-Founder is heading up the recruitment of an Office Manager to join their growing team and help maintain and implement processes, live and breath Sauce’s culture with external and internal stakeholders, assist with recruitment and be involved with invoicing and credit control.

The Role of the Office Manager

  • Keeping the Office space coordinated, tidy, cupboards stocked, dealing with deliveries, reporting any snags, making sure everything ticks over smoothly
  • Purchasing anything from hardware, drinks, stuff for the Office, travel and accommodation arrangements, books and venue space
  • Recruitment, working with the team to help with the co-ordination of hiring.  This includes creating copy, posting the job ads, co-ordinating social media and website updates, admin behind shortlisting and arranging interviews, and taking the successful candidate through the administrative hiring process
  • General administration duties
  • Support with the administration of some invoices, chasing debtors, purchase orders, overseeing the application of training and educational funding grants etc.
  • Overseeing and arranging team building events, such as the monthly social calendar, Christmas parties and support with the occasional external promotional events
  •  Provide administrative support with assisting the business maintaining their ISO accreditation
  • Support the Directors with day to day general administrative duties

As the Office Manager you will ideally have the following skill set:

  • The ability to bring a warm and welcoming persona to the Office, is key!  This is a creative Team of people
  • The ability to work from your own initiative, proactive and relishes a challenge
  • Excellent organisation skills, the ability to communicate well with others, a motivator with the ability to be upbeat and maintain a positive mindset
  • A strong ability to interact and form genuine and lasting business relationships, both internally and externally
  • Able to manage and deliver multiple tasks, upkeeping and maintaining the highest of standards
  • The ability to remain calm and maintain a good sense of humour
  • Computer literacy is key!  You should be able to manage your calendar, be familiar with docs, emails and other software. Don’t worry if your not advanced, it can be learnt!

Salary & Benefits 

  • Monday – Friday (Full time role, would consider part-time for right candidate)
  • Hybrid working optional
  • £25,000 - £30,000 PA – Subject to skills and experience
