Meet The Team: Stuart Cox – Support Team Manager
Q1. What do you do and how long of have you been with the business?
I am the Support Manager. I joined February 2015 so around 4 ½ years.
Q2. What opportunity have you had to grow within the business in the time you have been with Select Legal?
I started with the company as a Support Analyst. In this role I learnt about the company, its flagship product – Lawfusion and our clients. After 10 months, I stepped up to be the Support Team Leader, deputising where necessary for the Support Manager. Then in May 2016 I became the Support Manager.
Q3. What’s the best thing about your job and how would you describe the culture?
The best thing is interacting and helping our clients. Building up a rapport is very rewarding. I liked my previous roles in the company but managing and leading a team is certainly an enjoyable challenge. The culture at Select Legal helps with this. I have the freedom to manage my team and I am encouraged to come up with new ideas to help benefit my department and the company. At the same, I can always ask for advice from management who are there to support me.
Q4. What kind of person do you think would enjoy and succeed in your team at Select?
Someone who is not afraid of hard work and is willing learn. Every day has a new challenge and is a learning experience. Customer service is something we are big on, so anyone new to team needs to have a solid understanding of what it means.
Q5. What would you say to anyone considering applying for a career with Select Legal?
Go for it. It is an exciting time for Select Legal which is evident by our growth. During your initial days at the company you are well looked after as go through an induction plan which ensures we can see your progression. As the company recruits internally as well as externally, opportunities to progress within the company is certainly a possibility.
Today Stuart is the IT Support Manager heading up a team of 8 that is growing all the time.
