Founded 12 years ago by Gerard Toplass and Dr Stuart Kings, Sypro originally developed “Contract Manager”, their first innovation, a project management software solution for the construction and services sectors.  This software has helped leading national and international companies manage £10bn of projects to date.

Sypro have more recently developed “Total Risk Management” (TRM) to help organisations with a disproportionate amount of risk to capital.  The Total Risk Management software provides risk and asset management in addition to compliance and support with planned and preventative maintenance of assets (buildings, equipment, systems etc).

The Opportunity

Job Title: Sales Manager / Sales Director

Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 basic (£80-£100K OTE) plus excellent benefits

Location: Hull and Nationwide

A proven, dynamic Sales Manager / Sales Director is wanted to drive award winning software business Sypro forward.

Sypro are an entrepreneurial, award winning, well-established and market leading SaaS (software as a service) provider. They provide contract management, asset and operational risk management solutions to clients across the country within the education, care and public sector.

After continued and impressive growth, they have ambitious plans double turnover within the next 4 years.

In order to achieve this, they are looking to recruit an experienced Sales Manager / Sales Director.  The person must have the potential to become a board member.

The person will be expected to flit between home/remote and the Head Office in Hull, East Yorkshire 1-2 days per week.

Focus will be on developing the Total Risk Management (TRM) software and the role reports to the Co-Founder/ Executive Chair Gerard who is a true entrepreneur.

The Sales Manager / Sales Director will have the following responsibilities:

  • Create and execute a strategic plan, looking specifically at target sectors and opportunities to increase market share, revenue and profitability
  • Full commercial P&L responsibility for the TRM product side of the business ensuring the company meets sales and profit targets in line with strategic goals
  • Business development, winning projects and focusing on developing long term relationship to maximise income and repeat business
  • Managing your weekly activity to ensure your personal objectives and performance targets are achieved. This role will involve travel to customers and potential overnight stays
  • Work with the Board and Senior Management team to identify areas that can solve customer problems, whilst create solutions for opportunities to up and cross sell
  • Feed into R&D regarding new products, continually assess and take responsibility for limiting commercial risk when developing and introducing new products and services
  • Understanding the company’s capabilities and capacity collaborating with other departments and how-to best service clients when working on new and on-going projects
  • Staying abreast and up to date with market developments, technology and competitors
  • Capacity planning in terms of assessment of what sales team and resources are required to achieve revenue targets
  • Recruit, management, train and develop other sales staff as required. This will also involve setting clear objectives and undertaking performance reviews

The successful candidate will have a proven sales track record, enjoys opening doors and doing business development, securing new customers. Must have experience selling software, ideally SaaS or technology products and be exceptionally commercially astute.
